[opensuse-autoinstall] Export installation settings as XML during installation

Hi, i'm doing some tests with autoyast, and it is possible to export the configuration of a system using yast2 autoyast tools-> create reference profile option. The problem is that i need to export this settings automatically and during the normal installation, is there any interface, package, modules that export the settings into xml format information (like control.xml or autoyast.xml information)? [opensuse-autoinstall] autoyast hangs when "package selection" is checked on suse 11.1

Hello, Autoyast hangs when creating a reference profile under 64-bit opensuse 11.1 when the "package selection" option is checked. y2base just sits there using 100% of the CPU for an indefinite period of time. I have left it running for several hours, but it never completes. I've tried this both on an out-of-the-box opensuse 11.1 system, and on a fully updated opensuse 11.1 system with the same results. I need the "package selection" option for the autoinstallation I'm working on. I'm not using LVM and I would like all my entries in /etc/fstab to use UUID including swap. Hello, can autoyast put a append to an automaticaly generated grub-menu.lst? Till now, our gub-menu.lst is generated automaticaly by Yast cause the hardware differs sometimes. Now, we need a simply "apic" at the append-option. [opensuse-autoinstall] Where does autoyast look for packages?

[opensuse-autoinstall] purpose of packages file

As you've seen, I have many questions about autoyast. Another one of those questions is about the packages file. Since you list the packages you want to install in the xml control file, I don't get why the packages file is needed, it seems to list packages as well but I don't understand it's purpose. What does autoyast use the .pat files for? Hi, SLES10-SP2-x86_64. When configuring a bond device via autoyast we observed that the bond device was configured well if all required network devices are online. Thats fine. But we also observed that if you have for example: slave1 eth0 - link slave2 eth1 - no link autoyast will configure a device /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth-xxxx mac syntax with all network parameters which were originated for bond0 but will not create a ifcfg-bond0 Is there a possibility to force the creation of ifcfg-bond0 even if not all slaves are up? We would rather expect a network error than configuring of another device.
