Hi, I'm doing automated network install. I've added our local university 11.0 FTP oss and non-oss mirrors to add_on_products file same like I did (with flawless working) 10.3 install. ftp://ftp.rz.uni-kiel.de/pub2/linux/opensuse/distribution/11.0/repo/oss ftp://ftp.rz.uni-kiel.de/pub2/linux/opensuse/distribution/11.0/repo/non-oss ftp://ftp.rz.uni-kiel.de/pub2/linux/opensuse/update/11.0/ Now with 11.0 I get an error and badlist files says : 1 packages failed nothing provides openSUSE = 11.0 needed by product:openSUSE-FTP-NonOSS-11.0.noarch oss repo should provide openSUSE = 11.0 as the content file says : REQUIRES openSUSE-release = 11.0 pattern:basesystem PROVIDES product:openSUSE = 11.0 The installation does continue without problems after this error message. [opensuse-autoinstall] autoyast on 11.0 with serial console

On 11.0, I have been attempting to get yast installation working with a serial console. For a normal boot, I add "console=ttyS0,115200n8r console=tty0" to the command line. This works fine for the kernel console during installation, but yast does not show on the serial console. If I remove the " console=tty0" portion of the command line, then yast shows on the serial console. Unfortunately removing this means the bootloader configuration must be changed, as the console parameters are copied to the bootloader config. Is there a way to get yast running on the serial console _and_ get the correct parameters in the bootloader config automatically? Thanks. [opensuse-autoinstall] import files from previous installation

This is a suggestion for an enhancement. In newer SUSE releases (at least in 10.3 and 11.0) I found that autoyast saves the ssh-keys from a previous installation of the same system. This is done in /usr/share/Yast2/clients/inst_pre_install.ycp. Unfortunately, the list of files in that script is fixed. I would like to add some files to it, for instance /etc/krb5.keytab, but without hacking around in the yast script. Would it be possible to make the list of files to be saved from a previous installation to be configurable in the XML profile? That would be a very handy feature for us to have. However, I'm stuck at two annoyances: 1) /home is to be mounted over nfs. The directive inside the xml file seems to be ok (checked with the documentation; it doesn't tell me otherwise). But the generated fstab is bogus (see attachment): Its missing the correct definitions for 'fs_vfstype', 'fs_mntops', 'fs_freq' and 'fs_passno'. 2) (This might actually not be related to autoyast, yet it popped up) The machine I'm testing the installation on uses a (at least thats what lspci is telling me: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) Which in turn uses the 'xf86-video-intel' driver (Its a I830) for anything X11 related.
