[opensuse-artwork] oSC13 needs some of our help to finish Banner
Hello artists, As some geekos and artists already know. We are working and contributing to the oSC13 creating banners, t-shirts, posters, flyers, bagdes.... long list So once more I would like to ask and invite you to help and be involved, in case you have time and like to participate. If you go to the trello, you will see that we have lots of things done and much more to be finished. The main reasons why I'm writing this here is because I little tired and without much creativity for banners, maybe because i did a lot samples and I do not love any banner yet will be good if oSC13 banner have the following but not strict rules, it's just suggestions that I following: - must be 2 different Banners - banners must have to have the same kind of design and identity with the conference - banners have to be connected by each other somehow - banners will have 2x4 m (vertical) - banners could be in full color - banners could be anything crazy but not too much, clean but with some messages My point about this banner is personal but not unchangeable rsrs. I believe this conference is by greeks, for greeks and to greeks (of course we have attendee around the world, but they are attendee) and what i want to mean with this? I believe the banners should be somehow connected with greeks style, ppl around the museum (greeks) must see the banners and fell that are part of banner the conference and probably they will fell involved and step inside the event. We are open for opinions, suggestions and comments some samples that I created with Andy, Victor and other in the artwork team that has made suggestions, could be found at trello [1] also in my personal online oSC13 album [2] [1] https://trello.com/card/get-a-big-banner-for-the-entrance/50c9f63d0355c54307... Hello artists,
Hi Carlo, For once, I feel like answering on the list (usually I'm mostly newbies, and don't know technical things ...) but as you ask for kinda boost-inspiration" lol ...
will be good if oSC13 banner have the following but not strict rules, it's just suggestions that I following:

first of all ... where will be the banners ? Is it before ... to bring ppl to the conference ? In front of the place ... to say : come in, you'll discover a great open community or ... just to decorate the inside place ...(bring nice color in a computer environment ... ok joking a bit but important too)

they are attented : they ? (profile ?)

Just one opinion ok : a lot of greeks enjoy having fun, listen music or go (not alone !! community yes) to talk in bars ... and finally I don't know much going to museum lol no ... I would say : 1. OK greeks ... even if the banner cannot give a lot of informations ... I would think OPEN, FREE, FUN ... (words they could know like : open Source, free software ... as you attended ppl who don't know openSUSE yet) the conference is not really for all greeks (as going to see a video), it's for geeks or working ppl ... who would appreciate open software, so "why not come to visit and discover open SUSE ..." I just try to explain a bit my feeling ... oh an example ... yes we went 5 says to Thessalonique, as tourists, and we saw big banners near the port ... so we just went in and ask ... what's going on here ... (oups I dont even not remember what it was ... but if ppl come and visit, it would be a good thing to have minimum flyers with a website adress - or Yorgo phone number lol ... for them ...) this can happen ... no ? (kosta ? ) Open SUSE in Greece, free & Fun come on to ask, discover, test ... The banner (again according to me) does not need a thessalonique picture, as it will be (the banner) at thessalonique lol or with the plan to go there (conference) if the banner is somewhere else ... we recently went to a linux day conference in geneva and I can tell you : yes we were motivated to find it ... (perhaps they had an objectiv to keep it the more hidden as possible ? ;-)

I am sorry to "not being enthousiast on the banners ... without real suggestion for another one" ... or just all blue like the sea ... with a green small geeko : Open SUSE in Greece, free & Fun come on to ask, discover and test it ... Simple ... but efficient (but ask again where the banners will stay ... so you know who and what) I don't know if it can help you carlo have a nice day all ;-) Françoise -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

oh waouh !! lol I don't know what others (and especially greeks ... concerned) will say, but I personally love what you did !! much nicer that what I had in mind ;)) by the way ... Bruno was thinking : if they put 1 banner of each side of the front door ... having half lighthouse on 1 side, and mirror (other side of the lighthouse) on the other side, could give kinda temple effect ;-) ty ++ Carlo great result Françoise -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org
