[opensuse-artwork] Wallpaper Work Request
Hello friends Now that the submission process has been completed it is our part to gather the submissions and submit them to git. Those of you who also submitted wallpapers to http://www.flickr.com/groups/opensuse-artwork/pool/with/7733338260/ please let our team know so that we can start making your wallpapers into the appropriate resolutions. If you do not know, or do not have the time to do the resizing, please let us know. I can do that for you. Please also provide originals for your images. I went through the flickr page and removed the ones that were vertical resolutions since they do not match openSUSE's resizing guidelines for a wallpaper. In specific please take a look the following members tian2992 victorhck roguehorse anditosan k.monsoor mfoxdogg michaeljdur we need to get your image originals and start resizing them -- Andy (anditosan) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Michael,
I hate to be pedantic about this, but which CC license do you release
your images under?
As you can see from the distributions official list
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Accepted_licences (Content License
section) we can't use the artwork if your chosen CC license is
CC-BY-NC-ND, CC-BY-NC, CC-BY-NC-SA or CC-Sampling, but we can use
CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, CC-BY-ND, or CC0
If you're not sure I'd recommend CC-BY (Creative Commons Attribution),
CC-BY-SA (Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike) or CC0 (Public
Domain)
The wiki page includes links to the detailed descriptions of each
license so you can make an informed decision about your works.
While we allow CC-BY-ND (Creative Commons Attribution - NoDerivs) in
the distribution, it gets a little bit complicated for us if we need
to modify the content in order to make it work for the distribution,
or if we want to make derivative works to use it elsewhere across the
distribution. So I don't recommend it, but its your work to license as
you see fit
Hope this helps
