[opensuse-artwork] Meeting Scheduled
A meeting has been scheduled for Saturday 9pm (CET) in #opensuse-artwork @ freenode Due to the proximity of the release, only crucial issues and progress only, as to not derail release thus this meeting is for progress reports and to show what is happening and to ask for any assistance (so should be a short meeting) to organise efforts and know exactly what is going on and when should be finished for testing. Then it will be open floor for anyone to ask for clarification and discuss any issues on their minds related to release, however final decisions will be made on the ML. Now I must stress this meeting/gathering is going ahead no matter what and at this time, no changes will be made and any mails related to this one will be ignored. Any changes can be asked for at the meeting, I would like to ask all to please attend. I will be chairing the meeting and taking minutes, but i will not participate in discussions, just keep them on track -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

Let's see how it turns out. I think I should be able to participate. At this point, it seems that most of the artwork is made and there is only fine tunning being done. Maybe we could discuss things that will happen more in the future, such as marketing and so on. That work needs to be made, also in preparation for the release. By the way, let's use this wiki http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Art_meeting That way the rest of the project can also add and know what subjects will be discussed during the upcoming coordination meeting. Sounds like a plan. I should be able to hang out for a little bit.

I still don't support this. Michael is doing it exactly the same way as andi did for the flicker contest jury. For me the weekend is for private life. If we want to do regular meetings, I would prefer if we would schedule it on a weekday. We can never accommodate everyone, can we? I would personally have suggested to use a http://www.doodle.com/ way of picking a good date/time but if nobody shows up here, that's proof enough it doesn't work and if most/all show up, that shows it works. Don't take it to heavily for now...

It is first meeting in a long while that is accessible to almost everyone. In my humble it should be more a friendly talk to see where we are and where to go from here. No one is obliged to be present, but anyone that wants group to become stronger and better organized should at least spend few minutes. Excuse that weekend is for family is fair, as well as being busy, but those that work outside of offices, and can attend only on weekend have the same right to meet and discuss problems. After meeting is done minutes will be published on a mail list and those that did not attend for any reason have chance to add their opinion on a mail list. This is new for artwork group and probably for majority of other meetings. For years practice to hold meetings in times that are not accessible for those that can't just stop working for an hour, or wake up in the middle of the night, and log into IRC channel, kept whole a lot of people out of the loop. I don't expect that people will find out that at least artwork is different and show up on Saturday. It will take some time to see any, even minimal change. See you at meeting :) -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

I have not seen a doodle on that. This was just an announcement of one single person which is self-declared as somewhat offical. Let's just create a doodle and find a date that fits for the most of us. Jos, if you could create a doodle, that would be fine. Meetings need to be moderated, with published logs afterwards and organized in advance (doodle). This would give everyone the chance to take part and/or discuss afterwards based on the meeting-minutes.
