<snip for brevity> I never got Opensuse 13.1 to work on the BeagleBone Black. If you don't want to run Angstrom, your only other choice is Ubuntu. The rest of the distributions (unless things have changed) have usb issues. However, I see there is a new build, so I will give it a try tomorrow and report back.
