RE: [suse-amd64] Suse 10.1 powernow-k8
Your machine has problems. Big problems. What are you running on?
It looks like your machine is coming up in an illegal state (fid 0xe with vid 0x2). The driver tries to change the frequency, but the transition never completes. The driver ends up on a locked state after retrying the transition 100 times.
Random guess: he's overclocking?
Ooh, this is why AMD doesn't recommend or support overclocking. If he's overclocking, well, I can't help him. -Mark Langsdorf AMD, Inc.

Hi, My machine i´m runnig Suse 10.1 is a Fujitsu Siemens Scenico P with an Asutek A7V600/K8V Deluxe/K8V-X/A8V motherboard. I have the latest Bios installed. On this board there is no possibility for overlocking, neither in Bios nor with jumpers. As I mentioned in my last mail, it seems to be a problem with the cpu-freq driver for it does not report the current freq .

Did you activate k8-powernow in the BIOS? I've seen quite some boards now, where you have to explicitely activate it. Stefan -- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5 Mail: sf@suse.de D-90409 Nuernberg Phone: +49-911-740 53 - 0 GPG 1024D/91614BBC B226 E3DA 37B0 2170 7403 D19C 18AF E579 9161 4BBC
