This is Haowei from China, who is a professional IT editor and English interpretor. As I have gained more than 3 years' experience of localizatioin work and so much experience open source software (including Fedora, mybboard, smf etc.). As an experienced contributor, I have seen that SUSE Chinese work somehow are nice translation but failed of promotion in China. I write this letter to apply for joining the ambassador team of China mainland with the hope to organize promotion and ambassador work in China. I hope that I can get your reply. As I have never see Chinese ambassador from China mainland, I am hoping that I could be the first one and go for opening ambassador work in China. 4. With the help of ambassador work, I hope I could go further for SUSE promotion work in China. As new ambassadors, I would like to send my answers for the following questions. * What have you done already for openSUSE? I have looked into Chinese opensource OS market, and got that there were definitely plenty of SUSE users in our China. But OpenSUSE lack of promotion work in Chinese market. * What are your plans for promoting openSUSE? Please tell us what you want to do the next 6 months. A. Thank you all for welcome. Actually I am somehow new one here I am
apply for SUSE ambassador in China with the hope that I could open
China ambassador work and help to promote openSUSE in China. There are
definitely plenty of users in China, but they are lack of push from
official team. I hope that it could be warmed up with the coming
ambassador work.

Thank you very much for viewing the letter. This is Haowei from China, who is a professional IT editor and English interpretor. As I have gained more than 3 years' experience of localizatioin work and so much experience open source software (including Fedora, mybboard, smf etc.). As an experienced contributor, I have seen that SUSE Chinese work somehow are nice translation but failed of promotion in China. My Contribution Plan for OpenSUSE
1. Join the localization work of OpenSUSE Chinese wiki, make some improvements as most of them had been translated.
2. Join Chinese localization work of new OpenSUSE system and related documentation
3. As I have never see Chinese ambassador from China mainland, I am hoping that I could be the first one and go for opening ambassador work in China.
4. With the help of ambassador work, I hope I could go further for SUSE promotion work in China.
As new ambassadors, I would like to send my answers for the following questions.
* What have you done already for openSUSE? I have looked into Chinese opensource OS market, and got that there were definitely plenty of SUSE users in our China. But OpenSUSE lack of promotion work in Chinese market.
* What are your plans for promoting openSUSE? Please tell us what you want to do the next 6 months. A. Join as China ambassador to open ambassador work in China mainland. B. Go for SUSE promotion work in China mainland C. Make plan for recruiting more ambassadors from China mainland

* How did you start with with Linux/openSUSE? What is your level of experience? Actually knew SUSE when 2008,but started to get to know it in2009.
Have gained so much experience of linux system such as fedora, debian and centos, so for daily use of SUSE, I think no problem. And hope that I could help more users of SUSE.
