Hi,
when I set up my Opensuse 11.1 about a year ago, I couldn't get the wireless to
work with the IFUP method. I could only get it to work with knetworkmanager.
I configured IFUP the same as I had done in 10.1, 2, 3 and 11.0. I tried
multiple times to verify the ESSID and WPA passcode, but it never worked.
The other day I just decided to try IFUP again, and it worked without any
configuration. Then, I switched from KDE 3.5 to KDE 4.3 desktop, and it didn't
work anymore on IFUP. I had to use knetworkmanager to get a connection. I
switched back to KDE 3.5, and it didn't work again. I had to use
knetworkmanager to get a connection, and this is the present state of the
wireless. IFUP refuses to work.
Anyone have any idea why this is acting this way?
Thanks,
Mark
