Most modules on CPAN have a mailing list or some other means of contact.
The better ones list it in the POD :) Or googling with the name of the
module can frequently turn up places to go look.
In the case of Net::DNS, I didn't find anything with a quick hunt, so
I'd probably start with a question to the monks. I did find your
conversation on an SA forum :) You do need to post your broken code if
you want some help finding the problem! Try to make a small example.

The subject says it all - except that I am a 99% newbie when it comes to
perl. Net::DNS::Resolver is causing a problem wrt /etc/hosts, and I
need to ask someone who knows about these things. Rather than poking
the author directly, are there any useful mailing lists out there?
Yes, I've looked at http://lists.cpan.org/, but it's about five miles
long.
