Pete,
No tricks. For 11.0 I show it on the DVD:
15:26 alchemy:~/linux/scripts> webpin compat-libstdc++
... performing request on
http://api.opensuse-community.org/searchservice/Search/Simple/openSUSE_110/compat-libs
2 results (2 packages) found for "compat-libstdc++" in openSUSE_110
* compat-libstdc++: The Old stdc++ Library
- 5.0.7 [suse-oss]
* compat-libstdc++-64bit: The Old stdc++ Library
- 5.0.7 [suse-oss]
I have confirmed that is where the lib came from on my 11.0 x86_64 box:
15:22 alchemy:~/linux/scripts> rpm -q --whatprovides libstdc++.so.5
compat-libstdc++-5.0.7-121.1
Unless rpm is lying to me?

Anyone else know of the location of libstdc++.so.5 the one that is needed
to install the latest fglrx ati drivers
Pete .
something then you need libstdc++33-devel. From 11.1 it's called
libstdc++33, if you're using 11.0 and down it's compat-libstdc++.
These packages contain libstdc++.so.5 and for compiling you need the
devel versions as well.

If you read the thread you would see it was about the ATI fglrx video drivers
that need libstdc++.so.5 NOT the stock stuff they drivers will not install
unless libstdc++.so.5 is installed , Therefore i need the location of that
lib .
Anyone else know where to get this darn stupid lib from for 11.1 x86_64
Pete .
