Normally it is a good thing, since it works for most people, and they get it
without having to do anything. But in your case, you should probably consider

Now...should YaST include the nvidia stuff when installing SUN/JRE?
I believe as long as you have the YaST repository added, it will try to add
the driver it believes you need for your card. It has nothing to do with the
JRE as such.
Normally it is a good thing, since it works for most people, and they get it
without having to do anything. But in your case, you should probably consider
going into the yast repositories module and disabling that particular repo
