I've installed openSUSE 11.1 on my ASUS eeepc 1000HE with the KDE 3.5--
desktop and tried all the suggestions to turn off tapping.
My xorg.conf has:
...
Section "InputDevice"
Driver "mouse"
Identifier "Mouse[1]"
Option "Buttons" "5"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Name" "ImPS/2 Logitech Wheel Mouse"
Option "Protocol" "explorerps/2"
Option "Vendor" "Sysp"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
...
I tried adding
Option "MaxTapTime" "0"
and/or
Option "SHMConfig" "on"
but tapping still happened and gsynaptics complained about SHMConfig not
being on.
I tried setting the mouse via sax2 to a synaptics device and got no
mouse action at all. I even tried adding the synaptics input device as
Mouse[0] along with the above and added SHMConfig and MaxTapTime to
both. The touchpad worked, but tapping was still happening.
Has anyone gotten tapping turned off on a touchpad with openSUSE 11.1?
