I see the latest Thunderbird in the repo as 2.0.0.18, which means you
downloaded your version from
http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/.
Why not download the latest version then and try again? If you
installed from repo and my version from software.opensuse.org/search
is wrong, then try the latest version.
Strangely though, does anyone know what is MozillaThunderbird3? It's a
package in there...

Folks:
Something weird has happened with Thunderbird on my 11.1 x86-64 box,
version 2.0.0.19 (20081227). When I try and change something in the
"Account Settings" window its not saved -
For example - Edit > Account Settings > Composition & Addressing > and
make any change say uncheck or check "Compose messages in HTML format"
nothing happens when I hit the OK button to save the settings. I can
click OK all day and the window doesn't close and the settings aren't
saved.
I've checked and ownership and permissions on the .thunderbird
directory and they seem correct.
Any clue what's up?
Thanks -
Mike
Have you tried running thunderbird from command line to see if you get
an errors when clicking on "Save" in TB?
This may help in determining what the cause is.

Matt:
Thanks -
Started thunderbird this way - thunderbird -jsconsole
When the Error Console pops up it spews a host of messages:
Warning: Expected identifier for class selector but found '.'.
Ruleset ignored due to bad selector.

mailbox:///export/home/mwfolsom/.thunderbird/3erwwprh.default/Mail/Local%20Folders/Inbox?number=194127878

Re: the install its fairly vanilla - changes include the patches that
are pushed out and I've added some rpm to handle displaying video
files.
Any clue what's wrong?

well, I'm curious if you have a lot of rules configured in
Thunderbird... it almost looks like some sort of rule corruption causing
the issue. Either that or a newly installed extension is causing
issues. Just found that the "reply-to-list" extension was causing my TB
to crash when opening up opensuse mailing list mails :)

Thanks again -
I have no rules that I know of and there are only 2 extensions
installed - Enigmail 0.95.7 and Mail Redirect 0.7.5. I have disabled
both and that didn't fix things. On both of them the Uninstall button
is greyed out so I may have t hack a file to remove them. Can I just
edit the extensions.rdf file to remove them?
Thanks -
