Editing the extensions.rdf file only removes it from the extension
box, not the actual extension from the system I think... I don't know
if that will disable the extension too...

I see the latest Thunderbird in the repo as 2.0.0.18, which means you
downloaded your version from
http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/.

Why not download the latest version then and try again? If you
installed from repo and my version from software.opensuse.org/search
is wrong, then try the latest version.

Strangely though, does anyone know what is MozillaThunderbird3? It's a
package in there...
