So I'll probably get something at the max in a week?

I signed up months ago and have heard nothing.  I was able to get
someone with access to build me a cd, but once it was installed and I
added repos, it tried to install all kinds of stuff, and some things
didn't work right.  Since I don't have access to it, I can't build a
better one.  There are too many dependencies in openSUSE to do a
really good custom install.  Example:  I just tried to remove avahi,
and got way too many dependencies, so I gave up.  Something like that
shouldn't be so deep into the system.  I never needed it before and
don't now.

I've looked into KIWI, but haven't tried it yet.

I think Studio is a web wrapper around KIWI. Unless you are doing
something odd, KIWI is rather straight forward. Out of the box, it comes
with configurations for making DVD, VM, USB, PXE, OEM, LTSP and other
images. It can be customized via a few XML files. BTW, it is easy to add
repositories and packages from anywhere smart or zypper allow. I really
like that I can check my scripts to make images in to my source control
system, making image creation a bit more reliable and trackable.

Roger, you are right.

It is a web-wrapper around KIWI. When you start the text-only version
in TestDrive online, you get a bunch of KIWI messages.
