I see that the attachment did go thru.
Last 'night' when I tried to delete with YaST compiz-kde4 I thought that
I also got another screen showing at least one additional file which had
to be "altered"- so I 'told' YaST to "Continue" with the deletion of
compiz-kde4 in order to get that second message.
Well, I didn't get that second message/screen and YaST started to delete
and "alter" all the other files mentioned in the attachment! :-D
Hitting the Abort button or trying to use the "X" to exit does zilch,
nothing, NADA, so I used CTRL-ALT-ESC to terminate YaST's Online Update.
But, of course, I simply was not quick enough and compiz-kde4 - plus a
couple of other files mentioned in the attached list - got deleted.
It now appears that the problem with respect to compiz-kde4 has been
eliminated - albeit thru a mistake and not by design :-) .

I learnt a short time ago that one CAN highlight and then copy text
shown on a command line in konsole.
But trying to provide the result of the command I used is now academic;
however the command which I did issue was "rpm -e compiz-kde4" which
produced the error that compiz-decorator required "*-kde4" and after
issuing the command "rpm -e compiz-decorator" I got, [full quote frim
konsole]:
error: package compiz-decorator is not installed
Ciao.

Thanks, Anders, I'll look at all this again in the morning after someWhich ones, and how does it suggest they be altered?
sleep because at the moment the mind is kinda confused. When I try to
delete it using YaST's S/ware Manager the message comes back stating
that a host of files will be altered to satisfy dependency.
I have attached a screenshot of the list of these files (I assume that
it will get thru here otherwise I'll have to send it to privately - the
file is 186K big).
I see that the attachment did go thru.

If I try to manually delete compiz-kde4 I get the message thatHm, I'd love to see your exact commands and the exact output you get.
compiz-decorator depends on compiz-kde4 but when I go to also delete
*-decorator I am informed by rpm -e that decorator is not installed :-) .
Copy/paste possibly?
I'll see if I can work out how to get this cut/paste done. I use mc and
I don't think I can do a cut from the screen - but I'll see what else I
may be able to try.
