[opensuse] Pam Pilot not working

Hi all,
Next little niggle in my new 11.0 install. My palm device (actually a rather
old Sony Clie running Palm OS 4.1) used to work under 10.3, but doesn't do
diddly any more. If I try to add the pilot sync applet to the task bar thingy
it can't see the device to configure itself.
Even when I hit sync on the palm, there's no /dev/pilot device that pops into
existance (which was one of the things I remember happening before?)
Any suggestions, places I should start, good luck charms?
Cheers,
Simon
