Some time ago, 2 of my boxes, running 11.0 stopped to start cups when
booted. I have to start it manually (rccups start) and everything go
well. Looking at yast the service is desactivated.
Using insserv -d .... I goe the following message:
'insserv: script cups: service cupsd already provided!'
I also tried to do a soft link into rc3.d and rc5.d, but they got wiped
out at the boot.

Have you tried the runlevel editor in YaST? It shows which service is
started for which runlevel.

Sven

Yes I did, but get reset at any reboot.
