ifup wlan0 -o auto

Interface wlan0 is not available
Should that be the trouble?
And how would I make that available?

I installed kernel-source, kernel-syms and Linux-kernel-headers,
installed r3725+AR5007EG_2.6.25.5_1.1-2.2-x86_64,
lspci -vvv offered me Kernel modules: ath_pci, ath5k
I found
/lib/modules/2.6.25.18-0.2-default/updates/ath/ath_pci.ko
In Yast I could not adjust AR242x802.11 abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter
because of missing Kernel device (eth0, wlan0)
So far???

I installed them all and still in Yast I cannot configure AR242x802.11AndreI have the following installed:
Good, we are getting there. On my box lspci shows my card as:
17:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg
Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)
Yours is the same card:
06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg
Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)
I have the ath_pci.ko module at:
/lib/modules/2.6.25.18-0.2-default/weak-updates/ath/ath_pci.ko
17:22 alchemy~> rpm -qa | grep madwifi
madwifi-debuginfo-r3725+AR5007EG-2.2
madwifi-debugsource-r3725+AR5007EG-2.2
madwifi-r3725+AR5007EG-2.2
madwifi-devel-r3725+AR5007EG-2.2

From Jimmy Pierre I learned
ifup wlan0 -o auto
and that reacted with
Interface wlan0 is not available
Should that be the trouble?
And how would I make that available?
