Same problem here after a new install, a few updaets and reboots. SUSE 11.0 
32-bit with nVidia.

Do these troubleshooting steps apply to 11.0/nVidia as well? I'm asking 
because other parts of the wiki suggest that this should all work out of the 
box now ?! ;-)
