Yep, already did that in order to install the kernel source file.
Install all with care.
Indeed. Is the udev back-compat?
Further, which package would update mkinitrd? Or is that not necessary?
Well on the x86_64 machines I used http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:mcamen:Kernel-Backport/openSUSE_10.3 for udev witch contains mkinitrd
For i586 I used the Factory one...
