I still cannot open url's in thunderbird, and from there Firefox.
Nor other browsers opens. I have to copy/paste.
if you haven't already done so, install the about:config extension in
Thunderbird, then see what
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/423
Right-click on "Install Now", save as aboutconfig-0.6-tb.xpi,
in Thunderbird:Tools:Add-ons:Install: choose your aboutconfig-0.6-tb.xpi
Install, restart Thunderbird, Thunderbird:Tools:about:config

network.protocol-handler.app.http shows.
right-click Modify and replace "/usr/bin/mozffremote" with

set it to the desired browser which in my case is /usr/bin/firefox.
If it is missing, add it.
The 'official' way doesn't seem to work but this worked for me. Also,
do one for https also if you ever use that type of a URL.
In Firefox you can Edit:Preferences:Tabs:New pages:new tab.

One of the updates to firefox seems to have broken the one that used to
work requiring this 'patch'.
Did someone submit a bug report ?
ftp http and https handlers are in bold, so Novell changed them ?

Kind regards Philippe
