Oops, quick update to this:
You can download an ed2k serverlist from here: http://peerates.net/peerates/ Clicking on the "Peerates Servers List" link should automatically load the list into your amule.
Clicking the link will only work if your browser is set up to use the /usr/bin/ed2k program to handle ed2k links. If you can't do this then paste the direct link to the file:
"http://peerates.net/servers.php" into the box at the top of Networks->ed2k and click the arrow to download.
