So my question is can grub be put onto a CD so if he wants to boot intoI think you could tell Yast to install grub on a floppy. When that works,
linux he puts the CD in to the drive and let it boot into linux ?
If he can how would he go about putting a bootable copy of grub on a CD ?
you burn a CD (with k3b, for instance) telling it to use the floppy as an
"El Torito" boot image. The actual data of the CD doesn't matter (maybe
you have to 'dd' the floppy to a file first).
Of course, he needs a floppy drive first... And I haven't tried this
procedure with Linux, only with msdos; so I can't certify it works.
