Tip 2. Give your SUSE guest more RAM - at least 256 of RAM is minimum.
512 MB is better. But this would require 1GB or more Host (Mac).

Tip 3. Do NOT use guest SMP - assign only 1 CPU to guest, because of
problems with SMP implementations it usually lowers performance,
unless you do multi-tasking work in guest.
