ifconfig eth1 down and ifconfig eth1 up doesn't seem to do the trick. What am I missing.

Received the below error

[root@smoothwall root]# rcnetwork restart
-bash: rcnetwork: command not found

I am doing this on a smoothwall firewall to try and renew eth1. Shouldn't that command work for all Linux Flavors?
