Start with 'man mplayer'. The man page is long but has a lot of the necessary switches for audio ripping. Going the website has on-line help as well.
Just dont expect high fidelity.

I have a vcd that I want to rip just the audio track from. I guessing that it
can be done by Mplayer. Does anyone know the correct syntax or perhaps can
explain in "simple" steps how this can be done (with Mplayer or any other
package). Would be extremely grateful.
Thanks a million
Eddie
