Daniel,
I only got XMMS to play mp3 after I removed all SuSE supplied XMMS files
and installed all the packman files! I still think XMMS looks odd,
they really need to update the interface to GTK+, but it does play mp3
now! Here are the files I have installed:
xmms-1.2.10-79.pm.1
faad2-xmms-plugin-2.0-0.pm.6
xmms-lib-1.2.10-79.pm.1
xmms-devel-1.2.10-79.pm.1
xmms-lib-mad-1.2.10-79.pm.1
I'm also guessing that your kaffeine is not working due to some crippled
SuSE files as well, you'll just have to check that, as I haven't
attempted a dvd movie yet with mine.
