That's stange Carlos.

I just installed 2 new 250G drives, installed 9.3 and Grub did just fine.
Who knows......

It must be related to my bios, it's a triffle old (circa 2001), it thinks
it is a 120 Gb disk (and it is 160). Linux sees it complete, no problem; I
can even boot plain dos from it. But grub doesn't see it at all! I have my
/boot partition on another HD, because till the kernel boots that HD is
inexistent.

I did do a fresh flash of the bios in order to handle the new drives. This is on an ABIT KT7 that has worked flawlessly for the past 5 years. If you can get a bios ugrade, give it a shot.
