You can Google the stuff yourself;  I didn't save the original 
posting.

OTOH, some other correspondents have pointed out that KDE will
still be available.  Whether it will be kept up to date is another
question, particularly since apparently Mandrake (now Mandriva?)
will be the only distro that standardizes on KDE.
