Hi all,

I have a Palm device (actually a sony clie) but I'm failing to get any
of the Linux (SuSE 9.3) software to work with it.

If it's attached, and I hit the hotsync button, I get an entry in
/proc/bus/usb indicating that appears to indicate that the device has
been seen at that level:

T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=01 Cnt=02 Dev#= 21 Spd=12 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 1.00 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=16 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=054c ProdID=0066 Rev= 1.00
S: Manufacturer=Palm, Inc.
S: Product=Palm Handheld
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=c0 MxPwr= 2mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 4 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=visor
E: Ad=81(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 16 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=01(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 16 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=82(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=02(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms

However, neither gnome-pilot nor Kpilot seem to be able to find it.
I've tried telling them to use /dev/ttyUSB2, /dev/ttyUSB3 (which
devices actually seem to exist) and I did a mknod to create
/dev/ttyUSB0 (same major device as the other two ttyUSB devices, minor
node 0) that didn't work either (though interestingly, the device
disappeared without my help?)

Anyway, I'm a bit at a loss for where to look, or what to try. What
documents might help, or are there any suggestions?

Thanks,
Simon
