I have /dev/ttyUSB1 set up in my jpilot preferences, and it works fine.
But, /dev/ttyUSB1 does not exists until you press the hot sync button:
usb 3-2: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB0
usb 3-2: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB1
gaf@sauron:~> ls -l /dev/ttyU*
crw-rw----+ 1 root uucp 188, 0 2005-11-09 08:53 /dev/ttyUSB0
crw-rw----+ 1 root uucp 188, 1 2005-11-09 08:53 /dev/ttyUSB1
visor ttyUSB0: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now disconnected from
ttyUSB0
visor ttyUSB1: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now disconnected from
ttyUSB1
visor 3-2:1.0: device disconnected
gaf@sauron:~> ls -l /dev/ttyU*
/bin/ls: /dev/ttyU*: No such file or directory
