I have a SuSE 9.3 system running a SAMBA server in a small office for a
non-profit organization.  They want to access this server through a VPN from
their Windows (XP) computers.  There are only about 6 users that would be
utilizing this service, and probably not more than one or two concurrent
users.  Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to implement a VPN in
such a  SuSE/XP environment?

 

There is an article about the problems with Microsoft's implementation of
PPTP, but it is somewhat old.  Are there still security problems with this
in latest XP updates?  Is anyone using pptpd with Microsoft clients?  I have
also looked at implementing OpenVPN, but it seems unduly complex to
configure the client machines.
