Hi All,

I see in /etc/logrotate.d/ there are apache2 and syslog, but everyday
i check, it seems logrotate only did /var/log/messages, /var/log/mail
but not do anything with apache2 logs (access_log, error_log). When I
try to run it manually, using
logrotate -d -f /etc/logrotate.d/apache2
I found some errors, it says that logrotate did read my configuration,
but can't compressed cause there's no such file.  Here's my log files.

rotating pattern: /var/log/apache2/access_log
/var/log/apache2/arie-access_log forced from command line (99
rotations)
empty log files are not rotated, old logs are removed
considering log /var/log/apache2/access_log
  log needs rotating
considering log /var/log/apache2/arie-access_log
  log needs rotating
rotating log /var/log/apache2/access_log, log->rotateCount is 99
glob finding old rotated logs failed
renaming /var/log/apache2/access_log to /var/log/apache2/access_log-20051121
creating new log mode = 0644 uid = 0 gid = 0
running postrotate script
running script with arg /var/log/apache2/access_log: "
     /etc/init.d/apache2 reload
"
error: unable to open /var/log/apache2/access_log-20051121 for compression
rotating log /var/log/apache2/arie-access_log, log->rotateCount is 99
