I.e. printing even from KDE had worked before.
Now (e.g. after a whatever YOU update) it does no longer work.

Use the "cancel" command to remove all active and pending print jobs.
Shut down the system.
Switch off the compuer and the printer.
Switch them on again and boot the system.
Now all should be again in a clean state.

Then try to print a clean PostScript file via command line e.g.:
lp -d QUEUE /usr/share/YaST2/data/printer/testpg.ps
If this prints o.k., your printing system works.

Now try to print from KDE.
If this doesn't print, the problem is in KDE.

If the problem is in the printing system, try to inspect
the CUPS error_log file, see
http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/05/jsmeix_print-cups-in-a-nutshell.html
--------------------------------------------------------------------
If problems are encountered:

1. Set the "LogLevel debug" in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.
2. Stop cupsd.
3. Move /var/log/cups/error_log* to another location (or delete it)
in order to avoid having to search through gigantic log files.
4. Start cupsd.
5. Retry the action leading to the problem.
6. Now /var/log/cups/error_log* contains many messages that are
useful for troubleshooting.

If the problem is in the printing system and you cannot solve
it, you may also have a look at

Kind Regards
