Apologies if I did not make myself clear. The original query was....

Assuming autofs is set up correctly, can I 'see' all subdirectories and
files listed on the NFS mounted directory before I access/cd into them?

And is this where the 'ghost' option comes in?

I was really looking for a yes/no answer :)
