NO, that's not how to line things up in an office document!

I wonder if html has a function for this or a special code.

What are you trying to line up?

Are you talking about columns of data? use tables in both html and office. tabs only work if data between tabs does not wrap to a next line.

Are you talking about indenting paragraphs? use css for html; use paragraph margins in office.
