Thanks for the information, even if it is a bit late.

May I request that a notice about Factory freeze / unfreeze is included 
in future release announcements ("Factory is in sync andd will be 
frozen until $date") or as a short status notice to 
opensuse-factory? ;-)   (CC'ing Coolo for this...)

PS: As it turned out, beta 1 doesn't work here because I have most 
    of /var on an encrypted partition... (known bug)
    So ironically I need a newer version. It seems some packages were 
    already synced out recently, but not yet those I'd need :-(
