Are you on yesterday's project meeting from the opening ? The date of
the 'Week' seems to be shifted from April to May.
Here is the excerpt from the transcript.
<michl> jbrockmeier: do you see us more looking at April 20 for
community week or later?
[...]
<jbrockmeier> michl: I'm a bit iffy on trying to get ready by April 20
to be honest
<jbrockmeier> michl: I think we should do it right, and that means
massive promotion.
<suseROCKs> +1
[...]
<michl> jbrockmeier: which would be perfect date for you?
[...]
<jbrockmeier> michl: I'd like to have at least a month from the date we
announce it with topics.
<jbrockmeier> michl: but that's just me, others may differ
[...]
<michl> jbrockmeier: so the week of May 4 or 11 would be more
appropriate, right?
<jbrockmeier> michl: yes.
[...]
<michl> so date for the community week?
[...]
<michl> week of May 4 or May 11?
[...]
<jbrockmeier> michl: I'd say may 11
[...]
<BasicXP> michl: Agree with May 11.
<suseROCKs> +1 May 11
[...]
<michl> I take that as agreement for the week of May 11
[...]
<michl> should it include the weekend?
[...]
<vuntz> michl: I'd say including the week-end could be a good thing
since many community people are busy during week days
<BasicXP> michl: Yes +1 to weekends,
<michl> vuntz: so Mon through Sunday
<HeliosReds> vuntz: +1
<suseROCKs> So should it be like Wednesday to Wednesday?
<suseROCKs> ok +1 to Monday-Sunday
<BasicXP> suseROCKs: I think it's better from Friday to Friday, in case
we include weekends. If we don't, that Wed. to Wed. is good
<suseROCKs> yeah but a clear Calendar week is easier for all of us
<suseROCKs> ok so who's going to volunteer to help
organize/promote/coordinate? C'mon people.
<BasicXP> suseROCKs: Yes, it absolutely is. I'll aso put my + to
Monday-Sunday
<michl> okay, I'll update the wiki page
<michl> everybody welcome to edit the page, discussion on the project ml
The date might be May 11 - 17, but I don't know exactly whether it is
confirmed or still under consideration. However, the date
'2009-04-20→26' in the images have to be replaced by the correct date.
@Michael, Zonker, Bryen...
Is the date decided to be 'May 11 - 17', or should we hold on ?
Best,
