You could remove kde4.0 again. 

Or use '/opt/kde3/bin/kdesu' to be absolutely sure that you get kde3 version 
of kdesu.

Personally I'm primarily using kde3 on this machine, but with unstable/trunk 
also installed, and I don't have problems.
