That faq is outdated.  ATI has official 64bit Linux drivers available
under their normal Driver & Software section.  The latest version was
released in May.

SuSE has been kind enough put them into a simpler to install package
(well, really two) that requires fewer steps than the standard ATI
release.

I thought the 64-bit drivers are still under development. Maybe the FAQ
is 
outdated though.
