Hi

I have trawled through the list archives looking for a solution to this 
problem and have found several suggestions but unfortunately none that fix 
the problem on my system.

The following error appears when I attempt to open a Kontrol Center module 
 This example comes form trying to open the Desktop module under "Look and 
Feel" in the Control center)

"There was an error loading the module :
Details:
The diagnostics is:
Library Files for "libkcm_konq.la" not found in paths.

Possible reasons:
* an error occurred during your last KDE upgrade leaving orphaned control 
module
* you have old third party modules lying around"

Going through the different modules in the kontrol center I get reports that 
the following files are missing:
libkcm_.la
libkcm_.la
libkcm_.la
libkcm_.la
libkcm_.la
