[opensuse-es] problema instalando Latex

Hola, he instalado los paquetes de latex, pero no puedo ejecutarlo, tengo el
siguiente error:
Program 'latex' is present in package 'texlive-latex', which is installed on
your system.
Absolute path to 'latex' is '/usr/bin/latex'. Please check your $PATH variable
to see whether it contains the mentioned path.
bash: latex: command not found
instale los paquetes con yast y estoy usando opensuse 11.1.
