I've build kernel packages including the mentioned patch.

Randall, since you are able to reproduce this bug would be nice if you could
try these ones.
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/rudi_m:/kernel/openSUSE_11.4_Update/

Note these packages have already some more fixes for next suse update included,
see rpm -q --changelog.
