Can you give the machine specification and the graphics card used in the PC ? What is error message you get?

----------------------------- Carlos, Welcome to the SuSE family! When you get to the command line, log in as root and try this command: rcxdm start This should start your X windows and take you to the login screen to get to KDE. If you get a return of an error or it's already running, but can't start something, then most likely you have a bad setup on your graphics card and will have to redo that from the command line. If the rcxdm start doesn't take you to a login screen, then you will need to run sax2 to set up your graphics and monitor. If it does take you to the login screen, then somewhere in your install you told it to do only a text install, not a graphical setup! Once you login to KDE, then you can go to the control centre to change to your bootup of choice. Good Luck, Patrick --- KMail v1.4.3 --- SuSE Linux Pro v8.1 --- Registered Linux User #225206
