It actually was not the kiwi version but a bug in the build service. Luckily we use use our own code tree so I was able to fix it on the weekend without involving the Build Service team. And only after a few hours of kiwi debugging, we're down to succeeding images ! Anyone interested in testing the latest greatest that just published, before I trigger the big gcc48 rebuild?

AArch64 is a totally different beast.. we meanwhile have all the pieces together, but we're in the gcc 4.8 bootstrap cycle.
